Previous experience is not essential for this role, although if you have worked in care before that is also great. Our focus is employing people whose values, behaviours and attitudes match our own and who have a passion for ensuring that we deliver first rate care with compassion and courage.
We need support workers who care, who can demonstrate empathy and passion, and who, with a person centred approach, can enable our residents to have real choice and control over their futures.
You’ll need to show a strong work ethic and have good communication skills, and in return you will be valued and encouraged to develop your skills further through our commitment to training and support.
Our Support Workers strive to create and maintain an environment which is professional, safe and comfortable, looks fantastic and delivers the highest quality support and care.
You will get the opportunity to work with people who have dementia, and with people who have experienced life changing illness or injury such as Stroke, Parkinsons and spinal injuries.
Your duties will include (amongst others):
- Helping residents with their daily activities like washing, dressing, eating
- Being a caring and friendly companion to help our residents feel that Marbrook is their home
- Entering information on care plans (training provided)
- Supporting the Nurses to ensure residents are kept safe, clean, healthy and empowered to make their own choices
