Steffi Powell

Senior Physio

After graduating from Brunel University as a Physiotherapist in 2010, I worked in the NHS at Addenbrookes Hospital for two years completing core rotations including musculoskeletal and neurology. In 2012 I moved into the world of paediatrics where I worked for the 4 years supporting children with a wide range of neurological long term conditions, musculoskeletal injuries and developmental delay. I have worked for the past two years at Prime Physio, Melbourn working with people who are recovering from having a stroke or spinal cord injury and also supporting people with long term conditions such as MS and Parkinsons.

Alongside my day job I have also been involved with various sports teams including England Touch Rugby and British Canoe Slalom. My passion is for neurology and I enjoy pushing the limits that can be achieved from the acute to the long term goals. I also like mixing this with my sports knowledge to develop holistic plans and treatment programmes.

I enjoy watching rugby and when I’m not working I can normally be found on the netball court or touch rugby field.
